Counseling Office Secretary

Academia Cotopaxi is looking for a Counseling Office Secretary to perform administrative and support activities required for the optimal performance of the HS Counseling Office. The Secretary manages the Counseling Office that serves the needs of the counselors as well as students, parents and divisional staff.  Due to the nature of this position, all matters must be managed with professionalism and discretion.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience working with young adults, be very detailed and organized, is able to work in a team, as well show responsibility and commitment. Excellent customer service and strong computer system management skills are required.

Director of External Relations and Communications

The Director of External Relations and Communications, plans, develops, implements, and directs an effective and strategic communications, government relations, and external relations program for Academia Cotopaxi that increases government, public and community awareness and support of school’s programs, services, and activities, and enhances the image of the school.

Director of The ONE Institute

The Director of The ONE Institute is responsible for the implementation, management, supervision and evaluation of all the Center’s programs in accordance with the standards and objectives set out by the Director of Academia Cotopaxi. The role of director leads in strategic planning, budgeting initiatives, staffing decisions and other problem solving related to the management of the Institute. He/she works within the guidelines, policies and mission of Academia Cotopaxi and will be accountable and responsible for specific projects, strategic initiatives and organizational goals as defined by the School Director in conjunction with its board.

Instructional Assistant

Role: Enhance quality of education by providing professional and administrative support working coordinately with teachers,  ensuring security & care for students and working as an active team member to provide optimal learning environments for students in inclusive setting.


  • Teaching certificate completed preferred or related studies.
  • BA or Masters degree in education.
  • At least 1 year of experience working for bilingual schools or similar positions in educational institutions. PK & K preferred
  • Desirable experience in special education in multicultural environments.
  • Skills:  Communication and coordination Skills, Planning & Organization, Writing & Verbal Communication, ability to create positive relationships with children.

Teacher Substitutes

Academia Cotopaxi needs Teacher Substitutes. Here is what we look for:

Academia Cotopaxi has been alerted by schools in various parts of the world that teachers seeking overseas employment have been approached by various individuals or groups running scams and requesting money.

These individuals/groups claim to be a reputable school (or assume the identity of an existing, reputable school) and ask teachers and/or administrators seeking overseas employment to send them money to assist in the payment of a work visa, interview or application fees, plane tickets, or other recruitment related costs. Please know that no legitimate school will ask any teacher or administrator to pay them to obtain a job and/or work visa. If you have been asked by an international school to send money to cover such costs, you are probably the target of an elaborate scam. Be aware that these fraudulent activities seem to becoming more frequent. Do not send money or pass on banking information to any school seeking professionals to come work with them.

All international candidates are urged to be diligent in investigating potential schools during the recruiting process and prior to signing a contract.
