- We are a community that embraces collaboration with every student, parent, teacher, alum and staff member in making Academia Cotopaxi an extraordinary place. Together we strive for excellence in finding innovative ways to inspire empathetic and ethical student leaders.
- Diversity is one of our strengths. We are an English-language based school with students from Preschool to Grade 12 and a population of over 650 students that represents over 30 nationalities. Our professional staff is 50% international and highly qualified with over 75% with Masters degrees. We are also an inclusive school where different learning styles are valued and contribute to the enrichment of the learning environment of each student. For students who are not fluent in English, we offer English as a Second Language (ESL) support to develop reading and writing proficiency for academic success, as well as oral and listening communication skills.
- The quality of an Academia Cotopaxi education is indicated by several factors. We are accredited by the American New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), the International Baccalaureate Organization and the local Ministry of Education of Ecuador. We are also an official US State Department sponsored school. Lastly, we offer three diplomas: United States, Ecuador and International Baccalaureate diplomas. Our alumni go on to pursue academic and professional careers in a wide variety of industries all around the world.
- Our extracurricular and athletic programs offer a wide variety of options for all students that include: sports, art, music, drama, language and learning skills programs. The athletic program starts in middle school and offers four sports, volleyball, swimming, basketball and soccer. We belong to both local and international leagues that promote skill development, sportsmanship and teamwork.
